Description:
The mission of the March of Dimes is to prevent birth defects, infant mortality and premature birth. This is done through research, education, community programs and advocacy.
WalkAmerica is the oldest and one of the most popular walking events in the nation. It joins friends and neighbors who have fun while supporting research and programs to help babies in your community and across the nation get a healthy start.
To ensure success, this year we are having our first ever WalkAmerica Festival. We are providing vendor spaces in a designated area for a very nominal fee. We invite vendors to come and participate! WalkAmerica begins at 9:30 a.m. with the festival to take place following. Vendors should be set up no later than 10:30 a.m. and ready to leave by 2:00 p.m. We welcome arts, crafts, food, children’s fun and sponsors to set up. Fee to participate is $50 for your space; vendor must supply any equipment (tables, chairs, tent, etc). Sales tax must be paid to Sportsplex prior to leaving for the day.
If you would like an item can be donated to the March of Dimes for silent auctions taking place later in the year. Please fill out the following commitment form and return by March 31, for your spot to be reserved. Please note any special needs you might have for your set up. We are looking forward to your participation this year. Call March of Dimes for further details . The Gulfport Sportsplex is located at 17200 16th Street in Gulfport.

Entertainment will consist of local music and dance groups every thirty minutes.

Exhibitors Rules and Information
You may share a space with a friend provided their work is the same caliber as yours.
All food vendors must adhere to the Mississippi Health Department’s rules and regulations. You may call 228-435-3641 for a copy of regulations.
Spaces will be pre-assigned only after receipt of registration form. Registration and fee must be received by March 30, 2007.
Sales tax of 7% must be collected and turned into the Sportsplex by 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 28, 2007, as per Mississippi State Tax Commission ruling. No tax numbers will be accepted.
No commercially prepared T-shirts will be allowed without our permission.
No commercially produced items with March of Dimes/WalkAmerica logo or words may be sold without our permission.
Selling prices may not be increased during the day.
Booths must remain intact until closing on Saturday at 2:00p.m.
Exhibitors are responsible for providing their own display tables, racks, tents etc., and are responsible for set-up and removal. This is an outdoor event. In the event of rain no refunds.
Exhibitors can check in Saturday Morning 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Exhibitors should check in at the WalkAmerica Registration Table to receive instructions and booth location. All booth assignments are final. Please do not ask to move.
Unsold work must be removed by the exhibitor between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 28, 2007.
March of Dimes has the right to request the removal of items considered inappropriate for the event.

I hereby waive all claims against the March of Dimes, City of Gulfport Sportsplex, sponsors, or any personnel for any injury I might suffer during the event. I grant full permission for organizers to use photographs and quotations from me in legitimate accounts and promotions of this event.
