| Description: | Get your cooking team together and get ready to cook up your best chicken wings for this year's Wing Dang Doodle Festival slated for Saturday, September 29th at Gaddis Park in Forest, Mississippi. Teams will vie for bragging rights and a $1000.00 grand prize for the best grilled, smoked or fried chicken wings in the area. This year's event will feature blues musician the House Rockers, country band Rowdy South, and several blues and gospel bands. Activities are planned throughout the day for all ages. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy a fun filled afternoon. With Scott County being the nation's fifth largest poultry-producing county and blues being one of the state's largest cultural products, the Wing Dang Doodle Festival evolved into a good time. Arts and crafts, an antique tractor show, chicken crowing contest will delight all festival participants. Admission is free so come and have a "wing dang doodle" of a time and enjoy a little southern hospitality in this city called Forest. | ||
