ActivitiesWe are an educational and cultural exchange opportunity serving north Mississippi. We bring international folk music and dance, storytelling, handicrafts for sale at an International Marketplace Day at the Powerhouse in Oxford. We provide interactive educational events in schools introduced by power point programs about each country. We encourage the study of languages, geography, history, music, theater, mathematics and physical education. Yocona Festival offers performances in churches, service clubs and other public venues. Every town is different. We must have local funding, grants, and a team of local volunteers in each town to make this work. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 not for profit organization.
