Description: | From Oxford Fiber Arts Festival Website: The Fourth Annual Oxford Fiber Arts Festival offers many familiar faces with the yarns and goodies you have loved. We also are proud to introduce the addition of new vendors who will add more for you to enjoy. Many of our artisans are local.
The Festival opens at the Powerhouse (University & 14th Streets) on Friday, January 31st at 2am. There will be a reception at 6 p.m. featuring Dr. Lee Waltress of Pontotoc who will speak about Knitting Through the Ages. The Festival continues on Saturday from 10am to 4 p.m. Sunday hours are 11am to 3 pm. The furry animals join us on Saturday.
Every vendor agreed to teach at least one class. Class size is small so that you are guaranteed a good experience (Schedule on the Knit1 website - you may register at Knit1). Many classes are appropriate for children and there will be other children's activities.
The Oxford knitting community will Share the Warmth in support of Doors of Hope, a local non-profit organization. Two spectacular blankets knit by twenty-four Knit1 friends will raffled at the Festival.
