Knit1 produces the Annual Oxford Fiber Arts Festival in January. This annual event celebrates the independent fiber artists who are keeping many time-honored handcrafts alive. Over five years the Festival has become one of the major winter events in Oxford that draws vendors and attendees from across the region. It is a family-friendly event with a significant education component that includes childrens arts classes and over two dozen workshops.

The artists hand spin and dye a wide variety of yarns, including alpaca, many varieties of wool, silk, bamboo and mohair (among others). Most of the goods are hand made by the artists. The artists engage in a variety of crafts including spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet and basket weaving.

The Sixth Annual Oxford Fibers Arts Festival is scheduled for January 29-31, 2016.
